Sara Hamilton
Sara is an accomplished producer and consultant with 30+ years of experience in film and media, marketing and branding, strategy, and business development.
Throughout her career, Sara has developed and produced international marketing communication campaigns, corporate and commercial video productions, and documentary and narrative feature films and series. She produced the award-winning documentary, Time Zero: The last Year of Polaroid Film, which screened at festivals around the world and is in international distribution and available on major streaming platforms.
Sara consults with independent filmmakers to develop and package projects, both independently and as a partner with other studios. She is an Executive Producer for Filmojy, a private international firm that has been financing and packaging films and series in the entertainment industry for more than 50 years. She is currently in development and preproduction on several multi-million dollar feature films and series around the world.
As the head of partnerships and development for Catalyst Story Institute (formerly ITV Fest), Sara builds connections within the industry, curates panels and workshops for festivals, leads the year-round Virtual Institute and works with colleagues and Institute partners to educate and inspire independent content creators.
Sara is an advocate for the production industry, serving on the Board of Directors of FilmNorth and the Minnesota Film Alliance. She earned her certification as a film commissioner and is the current Executive Director of the Driftless Film Office in the Midwestern US. Sara is also on the Executive Advisory Board for EntertainMint, an innovative Web3 hub for creating and fostering community around indie content, and she supports the industry through her advocacy work with Film USA and the global organization of film commissioners, AFCI.
Sara strives to effect positive social change and use entertainment for good by connecting productions and brands with nonprofit organizations to elevate and support causes. She devotes time to several nonprofit and industry organizations, where she presents at events and festivals, facilitates strategic workshops, panels, and webinars. Sara also provides instruction and mentoring for film students and youth, and raises awareness and support for underrepresented groups including women, people of color, and people with disabilities and neurodevelopmental differences.
