Michael Sowinski is a composer and executive producer. His principal instrument is clarinet. He founded the music recording society at UCF, marched with the Marching Knights and performed in many concert wind ensembles, obtaining a minor in music.

He passed the CPA exam, then began his relationship with the film industry in the 90s working as a finance professional with Soundelux, a company that provides motion picture sound design.

Michael co-founded a pop band called Borrowed Reality in Orlando, Florida, singing, playing drums and saxophone, and releasing a CD. He released his first solo orchestral album entitled Windsong, A Mountain Journey in the early 2000s.

While building a CPA firm called CFO Consultants from the ground up, Michael became part owner of Social Construct Films, and has participated as an investor in The Friendship Game with Peyton List, and The Mauritanian with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jodie Foster. He sold his CPA firm in 2023 in order to concentrate 100% of his time on investing and his music career.

Michael graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2023 with a certificate in Composing and Orchestrating for Film and TV. During 2023, he scored several award-nominated animation films for graduate and undergraduate students at the Ringling School of Art and Design, scored a trailer for Scooped, a movie in development by Frozzen Pixel Studio, and scored an episode for The City is Ours an upcoming TV series in the UK produced by Anubis Media Films.

His piano and orchestral works have found an audience, with 175K views on YouTube for his 2023 release Fazicue.

In 2023, Michael invested in a documentary as an Executive Producer with Fisher Stevens that will be about his life growing up in New York, currently called Taken Away. He also invested in the Buena Vista Social Club Broadway musical that will be opening early in 2025.

He continues to release new piano and orchestral works, has several upcoming film scoring projects, and is active in obtaining and providing investments for producers of Film and TV worldwide through his Company, Blue Ridge Media Capital LLC.
