Screenwriter
Mel Evans
Mel’s writing is character-driven exploring camaraderie and consequence in the lives of the morally flexible especially under extreme circumstances. She’s always pursued her varied goals relentlessly from training to be a professional wrestler to a seven-year educational blitz where she obtained a first honors degree in Biology and two master’s degrees (including a distinction for Creative and Critical Writing). Once bitten by the screenwriting bug she completed a Story for Screen course by John Yorke and has attended the London Screenwriter’s Festival for the past three years. She participated in the online Cinestory Writer’s Retreat in 2020 and was a judge for the 2021 contest. Mel takes research seriously having been to London Washington and Paris to ensure her screenplays have a sense of authenticity. She’s been a semi-finalist in The Page International Screenwriting Awards Screencraft’s Screenwriting Fellowship and Final Draft Big Break Contest.
