Edwin Colin
Edwin’s life story is a fascinating journey that began when he was seven years old. His family moved to Corriganville, a famous Western movie ranch near Los Angeles, where his father worked as a ranch foreman. Edwin spent the next five years of his life in the magical world of movie making, where he met many famous film stars of the 50s and 60s, along with the much more numerous non-stars and others who are the real force behind the shows enjoyed by audiences everywhere.
Edwin’s childhood at Corriganville was so remarkable that he wrote a book titled My Life at Corriganville Movie Ranch. The book serves as the backstory to Shorty Shea, a stuntman and actor whom the Charles Manson Family tragically killed in 1969. Edwin’s book is captivating and takes you on a journey through the golden age of Hollywood and cowboy films of the 50s.
After completing a year tour in the U.S. Air Force, Edwin went on to achieve a Graduate Degree from Stanford University of Business. This led to a successful career in finance, but Edwin’s young life memories and passion for storytelling never faded. Upon retiring, he began a new vocation as an author and screenwriter. He is currently working on a TV series aptly called Corriganville based on his unusual and dynamic young life and a feature film about his childhood friend Shorty Shea.
Edwin is currently living in Medford, Oregon, with his wife, Sarah. His life story is a testament to the power of imagination, creativity, and perseverance. It’s a story that inspires us to follow our dreams and never give up on achieving our childhood dreams.
