Bill Wells
While most kids of the 1970’s went to theaters to watch Benji and The Muppet Movie, Bill happily joined his dad to see A Bridge Too Far and Tora, Tora, Tora. The two share a love of history, specifically World War II history, with the father-son team making a trip to Germany in 2010 to visit Dachau Concentration Camp and the Fuhrerbunker.
Bill’s genealogy work found his direct line in New York serving in the Albany militia during the Revolutionary War. His antiquarian collection includes a 1940 copy of Mein Kampf, and he has read more than 100 books on military history, including 50-plus World War II pieces.
His last three scripts have landed 12 awards, and he was offered an option agreement. Along with writing, producing, and directing a pair of short films, Bill has authored two books. When he isn’t working or writing, Bill is running. He has completed 32 marathons and 17 ultra-marathons, including a 24-hour run for Mental Health Awareness in 2022.
Bill lives in western Massachusetts with his wife, dog, and cat. He has two adult children.
